Uncle Jang @ Melaka

Annyeonghasaeyo~ I finally went for some Korean food today with KS after craving it for some time. Was so excited when I saw that Uncle Jang has opened a branch here in Melaka, since it's quite highly raved about in KL, we decided to go and try it.

Uncle Jang in Melaka is located opposite of Aeon, as you can see, it's on the second floor, so don't be fooled by the empty shop below. Lol. It opens 365 days a year :D So no worries, you can go there anytime. Best of all, the parking there is free!

This is the interior of the restaurant. A bit disappointed that they don't have the option of sitting on the floors like real Koreans to eat, only chairs and tables. But it is big and spacious.

They provide aprons for all their customers to prevent the oil from splattering on our clothes when they cook the food. Good thing they did, I was wearing a white top and the oil would have ruined it.

We ordered 2 portions of their famous Dak-Galbi (stir fried marinated diced chicken in chilli pepper based sauce, sliced cabbage, scallions, onions and tteokbokki / rice cakes) in Normal Spicy (RM19 per portion). The 'Normal Spicy" was just nice for us, not too spicy but spicy enough to have the perfect taste.

We also chose 1 portion of Ramen (RM6) as our side dish. The waiters there cooked for us, which is a very good thing. Don't need to worry if the food is under-cooked. haha.

These are the extra side dishes that they provided us which are refillable. The kimchi they provided was not spicy at all, so it won't add any spiciness to the already spicy dish.

*Pretends to be an awesome chef*

Jal meokgetseumnida~ (Thank you for the food / I will eat well) I really liked their meat. It's very tender and juicy. Also, the ramen goes perfectly with the Dak-Galbi. Neomu masisseoyo~ (It's very delicious~)

However, I would advise to not over order. Because the whole dish is practically the same taste, so if you eat too much of it, you might feel jelak. And the portion is quite filling, so it would be better to not order too many side dishes.

Overall rating: 7.5/10

It's a bit on the pricey side, but I do recommend to try it at least once if you're a fan of Korean food ^^ They also have a member card and you collect stamps with it. You get 1 free portion of Dak-Galbi after 15 stamps :D

It is July already O_O  Two more months to Uni life, and I honestly cannot wait for it.

Plaid long outerwear from Taiwan  l  Sporty top from Honey Moon (Dp)  l  Denim shorts from Brands Outlet  l  Sport shoes from Brooks

Long outerwears are getting popular now :D  I actually bought mine from Taiwan 2 months ago and I have seen shops here are starting to sell them as well. I feel that my long outerwear is best paired with shorts/short skirts/short dresses because it isn't see through and also because of it's pattern. However, sheer long outerwears can be matched with long pants/skirts/dresses. Something like this:

Trying very hard to stay awake for the World Cup finals later! I don't usually watch football, and so far I haven't watched a whole match during the World Cup yet. The longest I watched was until half time. Lol. But hey! This only happens once every 4 years, so I will try my best to watch the whole match today! And I am supporting Germany!! They have the nicest jersey in my opinion! Haha. No I am not supporting them only because of their nice jersey. #okaysomaybeIam  #sueme

Thank God for no work tomorrow. To all of you who are staying up to watch the match and have work/school, good luck. You all will look so cute with panda eyes.

Update: Germany won!!! Yayyyy!
             Totally missed the winning goal
and by the time I woke up, they were already celebrating victory ._.

ZALORA X American Apparel

That stunned moment when you just found out American Apparel is actually founded in Canada and not America. Haha.

I'm pretty sure most of you know of, or at least, heard of American Apparel. This brand was founded by Min Chan and Eustace Russel in 1989, which means they have been in the business for 25 years now!

They offer everything, from tops, dresses, pants, skirts, and accessories for both men and women. American Apparel's collection ranges from basic clothing wear that can be worn on a daily basis, to elegant shirts and dresses that are suitable for important events. In more simple terms, they offer both casual and formal wear :)

Here are some of my favourites:

I really love their basic tees as they can be paired with anything at all. Best thing is these t-shirts are made from comfortable and light weight material, and this is SO important because we all know how hot Malaysia is. And then, as you can see, they have these gorgeous dresses that can be worn for a special night out with a special someone maybe? haha. They also offer crop tops, which are all the rage now. They have so many pretty ones that I really want them all!

As for the guys, can we just admire how pretty that hoodie is? I really really like the colour and it looks so comfy! They also have button down shirts for a more formal look. Also they have plenty of basic tees and shirts to choose from.

Where to get American Apparel you might ask?

Just head on over to Zalora to get these trendy yet simple clothes. Zalora offers a wide range of American Apparel clothing online and you can purchase them within minutes without even needing to step out of the house. Ok enough talking, time to shop! Woohoo!
