KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Mask Workshop + Giveaway (CLOSED)

Last Thursday, I attended my first ever blogger event which is the KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Mask Workshop at Mid Valley. I'm sure a lot of us would love to have translucent and fair skin right? Well, I heard that the KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Mask is a lotion that creates fine-textured, hydrated, and 'snow-white' skin, so I was very excited to try it out myself.

What's more, I'm actually giving away 34 KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Masks! But don't scroll all the way to the end yet, there are questions that you have to answer in order to win one for yourself so please continue reading on :)

The KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Mask is made out of Japanese and Chinese herbal extract formulations.

The three main ingredients are Coix seed (increases metabolism, whitens, moisturizes, and prevents roughness of skin), Angelica (disinfectant, moisturizes and whitens) and Melothria (suppresses melanin production and has whitening effect).

We had to remove our make up using their Cleansing Cream before proceeding to try out the mask.

That round thing in my hands is actually the mask! Isn't it cute? I've never seen masks like this before, it reminds me of pills. haha.

All I had to do was fill up the lotion in the cap of the bottle until the line and drop the mask in. It absorbed the lotion so fast! It's quite amazing.

Put the mask on for 10 minutes. That's the ideal time.

Benefits of KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Mask:
  • Translucency
  • Penetration
  • Moisturizing
  • '0' Pores
  • Whitening
  • Smoothing
  • Firming
  • Relaxing
  • Evenness

This is the immediate after effect! No make up and no edit!

My skin really became more firm, bouncy, and most importantly, whiter after using the lotion mask!
I also realized the mask is not sticky at all, so your face won't feel uncomfortable after peeling off the mask :D

Thank you KOSÉ and Nuffnang for the opportunity :) This is me with Miss Jo Chow, one of the beauty trainers of KOSÉ.

Also made new blogger friends :) From left to right: Shini, Jia Yao, Rachelle and I.

#Instantbooth also kindly gave us a lot of props to play with and take many nice photos at their booth :)

Okay it's giveaway time!

To win a KOSÉ Sekkisei Lotion Mask for yourself, all you have to do is:

Halia Inc.

Went to Halia Inc. with KS today :) Heard about this place from Chiew Nee's blog so we decided to go there to try it out.

It's very spacious inside and it's just beside the Melaka River! Love the mural outside of the restaurant as well. So detailed and pretty!

Lychee Love
Rate: 7/10

The lychee drink is quite refreshing, probably due to the mint leaves and soda, but it doesn't have much taste though as compared to the passion fruit one (see below).

Virgin Passion Fruit Mojito
Rate: 9/10

Love this drink a lot! The taste was amazing. And I personally like passion fruit drinks, so this is a must try :)

Angel Hair Pasta with Trio of Tom Yam Seafood

This. omg. The seafood is amazing! Everything was really really fresh! It literally melts in your mouth with every bite. It's slightly spicy, as the name suggests, it has a dash of tom yam in it. But the taste was awesome! *thumbs up*

 Halia Inc Grilled Chicken Chop
Rate: 7/10

Chicken chop served with potatoes, mixed vegetables and asparagus. This wasn't anything really special, but the taste was okay. It's also quite filling because they serve a lot of potatoes. Everything was cooked just nicely. Not over cooked and definitely not under cooked. :)

Like I said, the restaurant is just beside the Melaka River, so you can dine in with good food, good ambience, good view, and good company! haha.

This panaromic shot was taken by my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 by the way :) (Yes! I finally bought myself a new phone! Will talk more about it another time.)

Overall, I think this is a really nice restaurant that is worth revisiting. I will definitely go back there to do some OOTD shots and get ore shots of their interior (I forgotten to do that today ><), and I'll also try out more of their food of course! :)

This is just a mini update since I haven't updated in awhile and I've also not done a food / restaurant review in a long time. Will be back with more pictures and updates!

Stay tuned to my next blog post where I'll be having a giveaway for my lovely readers! Don't miss it okay :)

My Post Exam To-do List

Lol. Sorry for the over excited-ness. No wait, actually I'm not sorry. I've been craving this freedom since forever and when I thought I already had it, it was taken away from me for a while, and now I finally am officially, confirmed, really, free. So yeah, #sorrynotsorry

Anyways, I actually made a 'Post Exam To-do List', and I actually posted it on my Dayre.
I used the stickers to represent what I wish to do after exams and I thought it's quite cute!

So I shall repost this from my dayre, even though you all can see it if you download the app or view it through the webpage, but I will add some more things that I have forgotten.
So here it goes.

1. Self pampering

I want to cut my fringe because it has become so long that it's annoying. Kept flipping it up during exams because it was blocking my eyes. Lol. Should have pinned them up.

I also want to buy contact lenses as I have already ran out of them since 2 weeks ago! Need to get them soon.

Might want to go and get a facial done as well. Haven't done that for a while.

2. Buy a phone

I have been talking about this since forever. Really want to get a new phone since I have enough money to do so already.

I don't know how long I can stand using my current phone anymore because it lags so badly and reformatting it doesn't help.

Anyone knows where to get a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that's below RM2000? Let me know.

3. Yumcha
Meeting my favourite people is also on my list. Can't wait to see everyone!

I haven't seen some of my friends since last year omg! There'll sure be a lot of catching up to do!

4. Applying for university

Almost forgotten about this (again). haha. I have to start checking out the courses and universities now before the application date closes!

Have to look at private colleges/universities as well as a back up plan if things don't work out. But I hope I won't have to :/

5. Job hunting

I still have 6 months to go before I contine my studies again, so I  want to earn some more extra cash. Going job hunting soon!

6. Travel
I've said before that one of the things I'm looking forward to this year is to travel.

Currently planning on going to Taiwan by free and easy. I hope this will work out!

7. Korean Dramas

Have been K-drama deprived because of my retakes but now I can start watching them again!

8. Spring cleaning

Need to throw/give away/recycle all those books and notes that I won't be using anymore! (FINALLY)
I would burn them if it doesn't harm the environment, but it does. So..yeah. haha

9. Adult stuff

You know you're an adult when you have to start doing boring things like these. I have to renew my driving's licence (No more a 'P' licensed driver!) and I will renew my IC at the same time!

10. Shoppinggg!

Last, but definitely not least. SHOPPINGGGGGG. My favourite past time. Window shopping also can lah. haha.

Ok wow, I really have a lot of things to do. Going to tick them off my list one by one! Very excited about this freedom of mine. heh.

Oh yeah, but for now, the first thing I should do is...

So, good night everyone even though it's only 12 in the afternoon. I blame sleep deprivation.

Sporty look

Baseball tee from Honeymoon  l  Black shorts from a random boutique  l  Cap from Jonker Walk  l  Silver sneaker wedges from Summer (Dataran Pahlawan)  l  Sunglasses from Calvin Klein

I am not a sporty type of person.
I play badminton once in awhile (a long while actually), I swim once in a blue moon, and I used to go for dance classes (yes, I consider dancing as a sport) but I don't anymore.

But when it comes to fashion, I really like sporty wear. Not as in those type of clothes you wear to the gym, but as in jerseys, varsity jackets, and in today's outfit, baseball/softball tees.

Baseball/Softball tees are sold everywhere currently. It's one of the latest trends I would say.
Just match it with sneakers and it'll definitely give it more of a sporty look. I really love my silver sneaker wedges a lot! And I think everyone should have at least one pair of sneakers or sport shoes as it can match with almost anything.
You can also match the tee with ripped jeans and a pair of Converse, I think it'll look very nice as well :)

I also wore a cap to make it look extra sporty. But let's be real, Malaysian's weather is not exactly 'hat-friendly'. It's too hot for that ><

Unless you're having a really bad hair day or you can stand the heat or you just really want to be fashionable and not care whether or not you'll be dripping in sweat, then, I salute you for wearing a hat out. lol

That's all for today's post. Oh yeah, the haze is back, do drink more water and try not to engage in any outdoor activities. Take care everyone, and I hope it'll start raining soon. We need rain ASAP.

Initially wanted to post an outfit post, but in light of the unfortunate event that has taken place today, I don't feel like putting it up for now.

To those who don't know what happened, a plane of Malaysia Airlines, MH370, is no where to be found. It is currently suspected to have crashed off the southern coast of Vietnam. You can read more here or Google it. It's all over the news.

Waiting is so agonizing. My heart and prayer goes out to the crew, passengers, and their friends and family. Although I don't have any relations to anyone on that plane, but I am deeply saddened by this news, I cannot imagine how the family and friends must feel.

It really serves as a wake up call, to not take anything for granted. I've been on a plane several times and have sat Malaysia Airlines before, but not once have I ever thought that the plane wouldn't land safely. I don't think I have ever really properly thank God for protection and journey mercy whenever I board on a plane. Starting from now on, I will.

This incident also really showed me that life is so unpredictable. So live the moment, don't dwell on the past and don't be overly worried about the future. Do what you've always wanted to do, pursue your dreams, let the ones whom you love and care know how you truly feel about them, etc. Life's too short. Don't leave any regrets behind.

Also, I sincerely hope that those who are spreading rumours and pointing fingers as to who is to blame for this incident will stop. It's really sad to see people making so many insensitive comments during this dark and sensitive period of time. What we should really be doing is join hearts in prayer, not putting blame on anyone or spreading fake news. Honestly, if you have nothing nice to say, it's better if you don't say anything at all.

Hoping to have some news soon.
You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. #PrayForMH370

Day 5. Still no signs, but still praying.

Also not forgetting to pray for the Search and Rescue teams. Thank you. We appreciate your efforts.

Sincerely praying for those who have loved ones on board the flight as well. Hopefully, we'll find the plane soon.
