Mamee Jonker House (Part 3)

Remember when I went to Mamee Jonker House and introduced you guys to their products? Or the time where I went to their Mamee Cafe?

Well, this time, I went back to check out their noodle making classes (Lil' Monster Kitchen and Noodle Doodle Workshop) and the long awaited Mamee Museum!

So, this is the Lil’ Monster Kitchen, where we can learn how to make our own Mamee Noodles in packages! It is super cool. There are machines and tutorials on a big screen TV to help us with the process. Also, there are a lot of friendly staffs around to help you out :)

This is how the noodles look after cutting and steaming them. It’s not the end product yet, but it already looks exactly like the real thing doesn’t it?

Plus, everyone gets a goodie bag and you can decorate it :D

Another one is the Noodle Doodle Workshop. Basically you will learn how to make cup noodles here and can choose 4 out of 6 condiments (sweet corn kernel, cabbage, green peas, carrot flakes, dried chilli ring and chives) to personalize your own cup noodles

Markers and pens are also provided for us to decorate our cups with!

Mamee Jonker House is catering these classes for all who are above the age of 6. Especially for those kindergarten teachers who are searching for holiday activities for your kids, this will be a very good option, because it is super fun!

But don’t worry, if you’re a teenager like me or if you’re adults, you can also join in the fun alright.

Prices:
Lil’ Monster Kitchen – RM10 per person
Noodle Doodle Workshop – RM 3.50 per person

And if you all decide to stay for lunch, they have Mamee Pasta which costs RM7.80 which comes with a complimentary Cheers drink of your choice

The classes are available on weekends (11am, 1.30pm, 4.00pm), they are also available on weekdays but only if the class if full (max pax 16 people).

Mamee Café Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls
RM 7.80 (not inclusive of Cheers drink)
Rate: 8/10

Oh yeah, bet you guys didn’t know that they serve Hainanese Chicken Rice balls now at the Mamee Café huh? Well, they do!! and it’s really delicious! They taste as good as the ones that you can get from the real Hainanese chicken rice stalls. And the chicken rice balls here are all handmade!!

You can smell the aroma of the chicken rice as soon as you step into the café, I’m not even kidding.

Mamee Café Hainanese Chicken Chop
RM 10.80 (not inclusive of Cheers drink)
Rate: 9/10

They also sell Hainanese Chicken Chop! I’ve never heard of hainanese chicken chop before, but it tastes as good as it sounds! The special tomato sauce that they provide really goes well with the chicken. Super mega mouth watering!

I should start introducing the highly anticipated Mamee Museum now! I was pleasantly surprised by the museum because not only was it very informative, but it is also a very interactive museum.

One of the highlights of the Mamee Museum will definitely be this double decker bus. Totally looks like the real thing and you can even climb inside it just like the real bus!

Doesn’t this remind you of the sundry shops back in the days?

Too heavy to lift

So I gave up. lol

And what’s a Mamee Museum without the Mamee Monster right?

See that huge red button at the side?? Press it and be surprised! ;)

You can really learn a lot about Mamee if you visit the museum. Some fun facts I picked up are:

#1:  Mamee is exported to more than 100 countries worldwide!! That’s a lot!

#2: They import their potatoes mostly from Australia and also the United States!

If you’re curious and want to know more, say, how did Mamee get their name in the first place, then I suggest you head on down there and visit the Mamee Museum.

ENTRANCE IS FREE PEOPLE. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!

P.S: To all Manchester United fans, you might really really wanna visit the museum to see some of the Red Devil’s autographs ;)

Zebra top from Honey Moon  l  Patterned skirt from Mico Fashion Square  l  Black Jeffrey Campbell inspired boots from SingxFashion

It was really a great experience and I hope you guys will go and join in the fun! Till then :)
