Totally green

Green cami dress from F Block  l  Tattoo stockings from Kam Ho (金河)  l  Chunky bracelet and vintage earrings from Vintage Style  l  Lapalette inspired bag from Platinum Mall (Bangkok, Thailand)

Humour me and take a moment to guess the price of the dress.

Don't scroll down before guessing.

Come on, just guess, any number. (in Malaysian Ringgit)

It costed me.... RM28. Yes, that dress is only RM28. Definitely one of the cheapest, "able-to-wear-to-formal-occasions" dress that I ever have. I wore this to my cousin's wedding tea ceremony 2 weeks ago :DD *Congratulations to my beautiful cousin Jes and welcome my new cousin-brother-in-law to the family!*

Just realised that F Block has quite a range of affordable and nice clothes and accessories! It is now listed in my "To-visit" List whenever I hit the mall. Their quality is quite good as well :) F Block is located at Dataran Pahlawan Megamall Melaka, in case you don't know :)

Also, I've said before that tattoo stockings makes people think that you have such fair legs and a cute tattoo. I feel that it's a wardrobe essential, especially if you're clumsy like me and knock something every once in a while which cause bruises on the legs, or you're a mosquito magnet (like me, again. #thisismylifestoryguys) and have tons of mosquito bite marks on your legs. These tattoo stockings will definitely cover up all those and you will have beautiful legs! #suchacheater  #bluffpeoplewan

Anyways, September is coming to an end which means that exams are just around the corner. Looking at books make me feel green sick.

Only one month plus left till STPM (finals), and I keep repeating these to myself:
  1. I am screwed.
  2. I am gonna be free soon!
  3. I am so screwed.

Help =/

Unplanned

The thing about making plans is when they don't turn out what you expect them to be, they are either better than the original or worse. Thankfully, this turned out for the better.

Oversized tee from Vintage Style  l  High waisted pants from  Honey Moon  l  Chunky necklace and bracelet from Vintage Style  l  Shades from Calvin Klein  l  Yellow high top wedges sneakers from Summer

I was originally wearing another top for this outfit shoot, but then...I went shopping before that. lol. Instantly drawn to the new chunky k-pop-ish necklaces and bracelets that Vintage Style has. The owner told me that Big Bang and 2NE1's styles are the trend now. Very hip hop-ish with oversized tees and loud accessories.

I know I already wore the exact same pants and the exact same shoes in this post here, but as I said, this outfit was totally unplanned. (and I am also a jobless student with a tight budget) Wearing the oversized tee with leggings and heels plus a cap will give it an edgier vibe. :)

Very grateful that my mum purposely drove to this beach for me to take my outfit photos. Although I love beaches very much, but I have to admit that taking photos at a beach is tough what with the strong winds and all, so please ignore my 'artistically' messy hair. No complaints though, because I am still very pleased with how the photos turned out and THERE WAS NO HOT SUN. Enough said.

Oh yeah, and this is me  struggling  trying to figure out a way to get down from the rocks while my mum is snapping away while laughing at me at the same time. Thanks mum.

Cheers to unplanned happy days!

Bites -- Where everything becomes an exception

Hello everyone! Happy Malaysia Day :D

Now we all know that our national past time is eating, so I am very very excited to share with you all some of the amazing food that I had at Bites's pop up kitchen last week, which is loacated at Bukit Baru!

They have a very nice cosy setting, perfect for private dining with your family or friends.

Okay now on to the food :) For starters, we had:

Quesadillas

These are tortillas with melted cheese and with a filling of your choice. This is definitely my favourite dish among all. The savoury filling and the dipping that comes with it really stimulates your appetite. Definitely a must try!

Caesar salad

I guess now would be the right time to explain as to why I put the words 'where everything becomes an exception' in my title. I'm not really a fan of caesar salads because the main ingrediants involve cheese, which I really don't like. But, the parmesan cheese they used are from New Zealand and it tasted really good alongside the crunchy lettuces and crotours!

What I'm trying to say is, whatever food that I usually don't really like, they somehow will manage to get me to like them. What kind of sorcery is this?!

Tantalizing Tarragon Chicken Steak
Sides: Bites 'Benang' Fries and Tomato salad with creamy basil sauce

This is probably one of their signature dishes! The tarragon chicken steak is really juicy! Also a must try! I also thought the fries had a really cute name. Its called 'benang' because they are really really thin, just like threads! And again, I don't like tomatoes but I ate spoonful after spoonful of that yummy tomato salad.

Roasted Honey Garlic BBQ Beef steak
Sides: Spicy salsa and Potato salad

I really really enjoyed the spicy salsa. Coming from a person who can't really take spicy food (I know, I know, I'm a Malaysian but I can't handle spicy stuff *hangs head in shame*), you just have to take my word for it that it tastes amazing! I just kept spreading the sauce onto whatever I can, like the potato salad. Lol. The beef steak is probably one of the best I've ever tasted. Their BBQ sauce is actually homemade! *yums*

Jackfruit (a.k.a Nangka) Crumble

I, personally, don't like jackfruits (a.k.a nangka). I don't like the smell of it, I don't like the taste of it, I just really don't like jackfruits in general. So when this jackfruit crumble was served, I was a bit hesitant to try it.

But I decided to give it a go anyways, and let me tell you, this dessert here totally changed my whole perspective of jackfruits. The sweet jackfruit really melts into your mouth as soon as you pop it in, and it was like a little piece of heaven right there. I kid you not.

By the way, it was my sister's birthday. Hence the Happy Birthday sign. lol

Very contented after that hearty meal

To summarize the whole thing up, everything is nice. And all the types of food that I normally won't like, becomes an exception when it comes to Bites. I ended up liking all of them, so it is definitely worth a try! (If you do go and try their food, and somehow managed to actually find something that's not to your liking, just call me, I'll go finish up your food for you! haha)

They currently do pop ups, cook ups, show ups and pick ups. Their restaurant will also be opening soon, which will be located near SMK IJC and Equatorial Hotel. Will definitely do an update when they do, and maybe I'll introduce their mouth-watering Asian cuisines then :D

Hello Charlie Chaplin (Back to School Outfit)

" I don't always miss a day of school, but when I do, every interesting thing possible happens."

Charlie Chaplin muscle tank top from Mozath Couture (Hatten Square link bridge)  l  Red jeggings from Honey Moon  l  Black cap from Jonker Walk  l  Black heels from Barry  l  Black backpack from Jonker Gallery

Seriously, is it just me, or does this happen to everyone as well? Once, I missed a day of school, two girls had a major cat fight in the canteen, a teacher decided to let my class play some really cool computer games in the computer lab, and a classmate of mine was giving out chocolates she bought from Australia. I missed them all *le sighs*

Anyways, I know that it's a back to school season and a lot of my friends have gone to university as well. In Malaysia, we have to wear school uniforms *boo* but this is probably what I would wear if we were allowed to wear anything we want (minus the heels of course, just throw on a pair of converse will do)

Muscle tank tops are so easy to pair with and I just love this one I got. I mean, who doesn't love Charlie Chaplin? I even met him once when I went to Universal Studios Singapore two years ago. (sort of)

*the dude behind photo bombing before it was cool*

Also, jeggings are super comfortable, and since most universities and some colleges/schools don't allow shorts, then this will be a perfect substitute :)

Hope everyone is doing well in school! You know what they say, if you can't escape from it, then just enjoy it. Haha.

{Review} IMAGENE and Geo X tra Contact Lenses

Hello everyone, it's September already! Today's post isn't going to be a fashion one, but rather, a beauty post. I decided to include 'beauty' into my blog besides doing fashion and lifestyle posts all the time just to switch it up a little.

Sooooo I'll be reviewing 2 types of coloured contact lens which I have won them from Chanwon's blog and Isabelle Miao's blog! Super blessed to have  won their giveaways and it's also my first time trying out coloured contact lens :)

IMAGENE CONTACT LENS by Adore (Grey)

COMFORT: 4/5
I can wear these up to 8 or 9 hours without feeling discomfort even though my eyes are quite sensitive! Their water content is 45% and are made in Italy!

ENLARGEMENT: 3.5/5
They certainly made my eyes look much bigger with it being 14.5mm in diameter :)

COLOUR: 2.5/5
The colour isn't very obvious and after wearing them a few times, people around me don't notice that I wear them anymore due to the colour being too natural, which, totally defeats the purpose of wearing coloured contact lenses.

PATTERN: 2/5
Not much pattern going on there.

OVERALL: 3/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GEO X TRA (Brown) from Glassesonline.com.my

The first time I got my contact lenses in these type of bottles and I didn't know how to open them. So I had to watch a YouTube tutorial...teaching me how to open them... dontjudgeme

COMFORT: 3/5
I could only wear them up till 4 hours before I had to drip some eye-mo into my eyes so that they won't be too dry, after that, I could stand them for another 2 or 3 hours more at most. These contact lens surprised me by how flimsy it was. It was so so so soft and thin, I'm not too sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though.

ENLARGEMENT: 4/5
These 14.8mm in diameter babies made my eyes look so big. Just look at the one sided picture above! Such a huge difference!

COLOUR: 4/5
The colour is quite obvious especially under sunlight! Love the brown colour a lot :DD

PATTERN: 3.5/5
I really like the pattern of these lenses! It has kind of like a floral detailing going on and it is quite obvious under sunlight as well! I won't be rating this too high though, as I have seen others with much detailed pattern.

OVERALL: 3.6/5

Hope you all liked my review, and I will be back with a fashion post next week! Also, I'm wondering if any of you have a favourite colour/brand of contact lenses? If you do, please let me know in the Imotiv comment box below!
