I cut my hair short

and I regret it so much right now. I don't think I've ever regretted something so much in my life.

I went to my hairstylist today, and I told him I wanted to cut all my curls off because it has already turned to loose big curls and I actually kind of miss my straight hair.

He told me if I wanted to cut it all off I'll have to cut short hair. Of course my initial reaction was, 'NO!', because my gut instincts told me that I'm not really cut out to have short hair. (pun intended) I think the moral of the story here is to always trust your gut instincts.

But he persuaded me. He said my face shape is suitable for short hair and it won't look as bad as I think it will. He brought out all sorts of magazines and showed me all kinds of short hair dos that will suit me.

He even suggested trying something like Emma Watson's hairstyle.
I stared at him for the longest time ever when he suggested Emma Watson's hairstyle. Then I asked him...

'Do you even know who you are talking about?'
'Yeah, Emma Watson, you know, the one who acted in Harry Potter.'
'Yes I know who she is! And she's Emma Watson. THE Emma Watson! How in the world can you take her as a reference. She'll look amazing even if she's BALD. I am no Emma Watson okay. There is no way I'm getting a pixie cut like hers.'

Well, I might have overreacted a little. But I got my point across. So he just told me to go for the 'safe' type of short hairstyle, which is a bob. He told me it'll be good for my hair, because the ends are already dry and splitting.

So after discussing for almost half an hour, I finally decided to go with it. I closed my eyes 80% of the time when he was snipping my hair. I couldn't bear to look. Especially when I saw this huge long chunk of hair falling to the ground. I think at that point, my eyes started to become watery.

After 20 minutes of agony, he told me he was done and when I opened my eyes....I could've just cried right there and then. Seriously. This was definitely NOT  how I pictured how I would look in short hair. I was so tempted to just bend down and grab all my hair off the floor and try to glue them back. T_T  It was really that bad.

So, anyway, I'll show you all the end result.

I think it'll only look decent if I cover up half my face -_- sigh. Why oh why did I do this. I miss my long hair so incredibly much right now.

This was the last photo I took with my long hair. T_____________T I want it back so much.

I used to be able to run my fingers through my hair for a pretty long time because it was quite long, and now.....

I still can.
HEHEHEHE.

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY IN ADVANCE EVERYBODY!!

I'm really really sorry if you got tricked. I honestly have not felt so guilty in such a long time >< If I could die of guilt, I'll probably be dead already. Didn't expect those responses from you all. Especially to those who left nice comments. Thank you, and I'm so so so incredibly sorry. *90 degrees bow*

Here's a picture of a really cute bunny, as an apology from me, in hopes that you'll actually smile when you see it, and not be too angry at me ><

Source: tumblr

If you didn't get tricked, thumbs up to you. One thing about me is that I'm really not brave enough to cut my hair short. At least, not for now.

Then some people I tricked earlier asked me how I did that. Well, my hair is layered, so the front parts of my hair is shorter than the ones at the back, so I tucked all my long hair at the back so that only the short front ones will show.

Once again, I'm really sorry. I love you all. Really <3

Hope you guys will have a great April Fool's Day!

Have fun going around tricking people. It's the only day  that you can get away with it. *winks*

Girls Day Out

March Holidays are here! Well, actually it's almost over, but you get my point. Went out with the bestie last Sunday and I had a great time with her! As usual. hehe

Haven't seen her since Chinese New Year! Getting used to the fact that we're both in different schools now. Well, good thing is that we're still in the same state. haha

I watched 'Ah Boys To Men 1' during Chinese New Year with my family as stated in this post here. Since then, I've been anticipating Part 2 because Part 1 was really good! So, I managed to watch it with her.....

...and it was really good!! I have always been a fan of Jack Neo's movies and so far, ALL of his movies manage to make me laugh and cry, if not at least tear up a little. So go watch it if you haven't yet! No regrets!

We went to Wong Kok Char Chan Teng to eat dinner later on. I honestly prefer the food there than those kopitiams in Dataran Pahlawan.

While waiting for our food to arrive. haha. #girlsbeinggirls

Pan Fried Chee Cheong Fan with Minced Pork

Rating: 9.8/10

I always always order this dish whenever I eat in Wong Kok. Personally I feel that this is one of their best dishes.

Sunshine Bacon Paper Bread with Portuguese Sauce

Rating: 9.5/10
They changed their menu a lot, so we decided to try one of their new dishes and ordered this! The sauce looks like dahl, but it's really really good. Also, the bread is super thin, I think that's why they call it 'Paper Bread'. Will definitely order this again next time.

Double Delights Honey Peach Passion Ice

Rating: 9.5/10

We also tried this new drink of theirs and it's really nice as well. I don't think anything can go wrong with passion fruit honestly. Like for Chatime, the only flavour that I wouldn't mind drinking over and over again is their Passion fruit flavoured one (which I forgotten the name since I haven't drank that for a long time)

Actually we thought of trying their Tomato Sour Mango Juice, but kind of afraid it would not taste so good. Maybe one day when we are more courageous, we might. lol

We were saying it's a good thing all the things we ordered are nice, because the price is really not cheap. haha.

Haven't done an outfit of the day in ages. So here's what I wore.

#OOTD:
  • Tattered denim jacket - Honey Moon (Dataran Pahlawan)
  • Aztec patterned crop top - Honey Moon
  • Denim shorts - Mico Fashion Square
  • Coral coloured bag - Brings
  • Yellow platform sport shoes - Summer

Till next time!

STPM Sem 1 Results

Disclaimer: Just in case of any misunderstandings, I am not trying to brag ( not that there's anything to brag about) through this post. Just recording one of life's moments.

So, our STPM Sem 1 results just came out on Wednesday (20th March). Actually they told us it was going to be released on Thursday (21st of March), but some how it came out around 10pm.

I didn't know that the results came out till around 11pm, I was actually planning to sleep already, but Facebook told me the results are out -_- Then I couldn't sleep no more.

I found out the link of the website through a friend and started pressing the refresh button on my phone like mad. Seriously, I don't understand why they want to use online system but the page crashes so easily. Its like as if its purposely made this way to create more suspense for the students. Well, you succeeded okay, so congratulations.

After trying for the 62498723651th time, I finally managed to gain access to the website around midnight.

Had mixed emotions when I finally got to this page.

One part of me was like 'Yayyy! FINALLY!' and another part of me was like 'Omg, once I key in my IC number, I'm gonna be looking at my results.' *launches into full panic attack mode*

I entered my IC number anyway, and what I saw was this.

CGPA: 3.09

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I saw my results. So I did both.

If anything, I felt relieved. Relieved for the fact that I can continue on my Form Six. I know my results isn't really over-the-top, but I feel that it's okay. I was so worried for so many months because I kept worrying about my results and finding ways to get out of Form Six if my results turned out really really bad. So glad that I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Also, this was the very first time that I didn't focus on the subject that I got the worst results for. Maybe it's because I already expected that I wouldn't do well in my Accounts, or maybe I was just too focused on calculating my CGPA, or maybe I was just busy being happy for the other 3 subjects.

I didn't realise I partially failed/passed my Accounts till like half an hour later. lol. Oh, and I say partially fail /pass because that's what they call those subjects that you get 0.01-1.99 for. Honestly, I don't know why they want to categorise it like this. To me, a fail is a fail, a pass is a pass, no such thing as in betweens. But okay, I'm following whatever they say lah.

No idea why on earth did I take up Accounts, but there's no turning back now. lol. Most probably going to retake that paper to try to get a higher pointer ><

But, really, Thank you God for my results.

To those who got the results that you wanted or the results that exceeded your expectations, congratulations! You should be proud of yourself :)

To those who didn't, don't give up. It's not the end of the journey yet. These results can be changed. Hang in there.

8 more months, 2 more times. We can do this :)

Liebster Blog Award

Okay, so I know this Liebster Blog Award has been circulating around bloggers and I never thought I'll be nominated for it. Thank you Chiew Nee for nominating me!

Basically 'Liebster' means 'Dearest' in German, and this award is given out to bloggers who have less than 200 readers, sort of like a motivation to 'keep going on' and 'you'll get there one day' that kind of thing.

When you get nominated, you get to put this pretty badge on your blog! Yay! *throws confetti*

Then you have to answer some questions from that person who nominated you, something like a 'get-to-know-you' session. So here are the questions from Chiew Nee :)

1. A Lamborghini or a long trip to Europe?

Don't even have to think twice for this question,DEFINITELY the long trip to Europe.

I love travelling and going to Europe is definitely in my Bucket List! Frankly, of all the people I know that went to Europe, none of them came back and said; "Europe was a bore." or  "Going to Europe was a waste of time and money."

I think it's safe to say that 10 out of 10 people who went there all came back with really interesting stories to tell and amazing pictures to show, so I really want to go there and experience it myself, especially Paris! haha. Confessions of a hopeless romantic girl.

Besides, what would I do with a Lamborghini in Malaysia? Cannot be in peace every single second of the day because I'll be afraid it'll get stolen -.-

P/S: Photos taken from my mum's trip to Europe

2. When did you start to blog?

I started when I was 15, and from that period till now, I think I have at least 3 or 4 blogs, but I deleted off all the old ones because thinking back, whatever I wrote was kind of childish and just.... embarrassing  (Don't judge me, we all have been there. lol) So now I have this blog and am currently trying to be an active blogger. :)

3. Who is your role model and why?

Well, honestly I don't think I have a role model, I mean I do admire quite a number of people but I admire all of them for different reasons, there isn't a person I specifically admire everything about and really want to be like him/her.

4. Imagine yourself 20 years later.

Wow. This is kind of hard, because I can't even imagine myself a few months later (which will be explained in the next question). Erm, but I suppose I'll be a mum by then, with a good husband and a happy family, hopefully a successful career and leading the life I always want. Oh, I'll definitely own a walk-in closet. Yup. I need that. haha

5. Talk about your current life.

My current life is the reason why I'm not able to blog much or have any interesting things to blog about. lol. I'm currently in Form Six, but I'm still not 100% sure I'll be staying on or not (Hence, the reason why I said I can't even imagine myself/ where I'll be a few months later).

Form Six life has so far made me super busy. Mostly because of being in the Student's Council, in addition to other duties like the Koperasi, Rangers, Christian Fellowship and Chess Club, not to mention all that school work. Thank goodness I met nice friends who are helping me through all this.

**So now I'm going to nominate a few people for this award and they are:

These are my questions:

  1. When did you start blogging?
  2. If you could turn back time, would you change anything in the past?
  3. Which country would you like to visit the most and why?
  4. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
  5. Which social network site (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram...etc) do you prefer the most, and why?

Happy answering! xx.

こんにちは

Konichiwa! That's the title of my blog post by the way. At least, I think it is...if it's wrong, blame Google translate. lol. Before you read on, bear in mind if you cannot stand the thought of girls raving over a cute Japanese guy, then you might want to skip this post. You have been warned.

Yesterday, about 70 Japanese students from Tomita High School visited our school. They needed 20 girls and 50 boys to bring them around the school in pairs. I know a lot of people are wondering how come my class was chosen, to be honest I didn't know the full story till today. This was what happened.

Green - A girl in my class
Blue - A teacher

"Which class has the most girls ah?"
"My class lor teacher, Upper Six Arts 4." (We have 23 girls and 7 guys)
"Oh okay, you know which class is interested in Japanese kind of things?"
"My class la teacher."
"Okay la, you go and get 20 girls from your class to register so that you all can bring the Japanese students around school when they come."

...And that is how we got chosen.

*Huge thanks to my friend Angie who signed up for me even though I was absent that day!*

Honestly, I wasn't really hyped about it at first, because I thought the Student Council will probably be handling this too and because I have had a similar experience before, hosting students from China during secondary school, and they were all 11-13 years old.

Anyway, back to yesterday. We spent the morning practicing a few words of Japanese here and there. One of my classmates actually managed to get a glimpse of them before we had to go meet them at the hall, and she said, "Looks like they're all younger than us, and I didn't see any handsome guys." The later part was not true. LOL

At 9.30am we entered the hall, and waited for the Japanese students. They came in and we stared at them while they stared at us. lol. Actually, the first person that we (meaning my class girls and I) spotted was their female teacher who is really really pretty with a very cute voice.

And then......suddenly this tall, super fair and handsome guy who looks like an Anime or Japanese comic book character came into view and all of us were like  O__________________________O

Totally launched us into hyper mode. This was part of our conversation.

"OMGOMGOMG guyss look look!!! LOOK at him!"
"Where where?! Which one?!"
"There there!!! THAT ONE LA!!"
"omgomgomg!!! I thought you said there weren't any handsome guys?!"
"ohmygoddddddddddd he looks like an Anime character!"
"He's so handsome ohmygoddddd!!!"
"OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG"
"OH-MY-GODDDDDDDDD!!!!!!"

hahaha. Yeah. Well, what did you expect? There were 20 of us okay. We tried our hardest to keep our voices down, but I don't think we did a really good job at that. haha

So we paired up with the Japanese students and none of us got to pair up with the Anime looking guy, much to everyone's disappointment. haha. Anyways, here's a small recap of what we did that day!

Basically we just brought them around school, serving them local delicacies, teach them how to play traditional games and music instruments, trying our hardest to actually engage in a conversation with them.

They are all 17 years old, from Tomita High School, some can actually speak/understand a minimal amount of English while others can't at all.

おはようございます、私はマンディだ (Good morning, I'm Mandy.)
First sentence I said to the girl I paired up with. Bradon taught me that sentence. lol

Later on, we took turns to perform something that represents our country on stage. My school played the Malay traditional music instruments, while they did some traditional thing with bells.

Actually there was this Japanese-American among them and he was doing all the talking and explaining before they performed. But his American accent was so strong that we couldn't understand what he's saying either. Someone said, "Aiyo, we don't understand the ones that speak Japanese, and we don't understand the ones that speak English either." haha. Don't get me wrong, he is very well versed in English, just that his accent made it hard for us to decipher his words.

Teaching them how to play congkak

Them performing

Ready to see the guy we're all raving about?

tadaaa! This is Koji! (Pronouced/Nicknamed Koj, not sure which). He can speak a little bit of English but he said he doesn't really like to. He does not play cosplay, but he did appreciate the fact that we think he looks like an Anime character. haha. We told him he looks like L from Death Note! He was quite nice. He fanned us with his booklet when he saw that we were feeling very hot. *omg* haha.

There were a few other quite handsome ones, but I thought he was the most unique one. The others were more of a macho type of handsome, which I think Malaysia also got lah. haha. He was more of the pretty boy type of handsome. Rarely seen in Malaysia. XD

Okay okay, I shall not continue raving on about him.

Some random facts I noticed/got to know about them:
  1. Very few of them wear spectacles. (but then they could be wearing contacts)
  2. 99% of the girls have bangs! (I read from somewhere that Japanese guys prefer girls with bangs. haha)
  3. THEIR SCHOOLGIRL UNIFORM IS CUTE!
  4. They really really really really like doing the 'peace' sign when taking photos. (We all just followed their lead and doing 'peace' signs in every photo as well. lol)
  5. Facebook is not really popular there.

Pictures!

My partner, Nene!

Akita :)

Super kawai and pretty girl! I forgot to ask what's her name :(

Yoshitaka and Koji

The girls with the Japanese boys

Personally I feel student exchanges are awesome. It's beneficial to both sides (The students on the student exchange program, and the hosts). See, in just a few hours, we got a glimpse into another country with a different language, different cultures, different lifestyles...etc. Hopefully there will be more of these experiences to come, and who knows? We just might be the ones to be part of the program instead of being the hosts the next time around. :)

Needless to say, we were all really sad when they had to leave. But all in all, it was a really good experience and a good day :)

Thank you Malacca High School!
Thank you Tomita High School!
Thank you Japan!

This is by far the best thing that has ever happened in school.

S.I.C.K

Hello *coughs* March *sniffs*

I am *coughs* sick *sniffs* again *cough*

Okay you get my point. Seriously, I have been falling sick monthly. Now I can accept that certain things do happen monthly, but being sick every month is just...no =_=

Two days ago, I had throat infection + flu + fever. Now I'm left with cough + flu.

Anyways, this is what I think the word S-I-C-K stands for.

#Sleep

When I'm sick, the only thing I wanna do is sleep. Or rest. Especially after taking all that horrible tasting medication. I usually just lie down on the couch the entire day. I'm not even exaggerating. I lie down on my couch in front of the TV for about 20 hours a day when I am sick.

#Indulge

All I need when I'm sick, are things that do not remind me that I am sick. So I tend to indulge in things that I like. And since I can't indulge in all the glorious food that I love so much, I seek alternatives like...

- Watching a funny Youtube video. (Thank you Ryan Higa for existing. #ILY)

 - Reading fashion magazines

- Play Candy Crush

Currently stuck at level 50 by the way
- Listening to songs

and many more.

#Comfort

I really really want to be as comfortable as I can whenever I'm sick. So I usually wear an over-sized baggy T-shirt and sweat pants 24 hours when I'm sick.

This is my sick shirt. LOL. Always wear this when I'm sick because it's sooo comfy! It's my Form Five class shirt by the way.
And you can't see my track pants because this shirt is huge. I got it one size bigger. Over-sized T-shirts is LOVE!

And then I'll make myself a cup of honey lemon tea! Super easy to make and it really soothes your throat. Good for sore throats and cough!

Just squeeze half a lemon and add 1 table spoon of Manuka Honey in your cup, then pour warm water

and tadaaa Honey Lemon Tea!

#Kill

No I don't go around killing people/animals when I'm sick. I meant kill all the bacteria/viruses or whatever that's in my body that's causing me to be sick. And by doing that, I' have to take medication *boooooo*

I've said in this post before that I hate medication and I somehow have lost the ability to swallow pills when I became a teenager -___-

Here is me crushing my pills with a parang so that I can mix with water and drink it  =/

Wish there was a way to get better without taking any medication :(

Sleep. Indulge. Comfort. Kill.

I still am kind of sick, but I do feel wayyy better than I did the past two days. (Obviously, since got mood to take pictures.haha)

Really hope that I won't get sick monthly anymore and let this be the last time I'll get sick this year. Also I wish all of you who are actually reading this stay in the pink of health throughout the year!

P.S: Changed my blog link because this is easier for me to pronounce than the previous one. lol
